Weidmuller USA, a provider of smart industrial connectivity and automation products and solutions headquartered in Richmond, Va., has introduced Basic Line Series B—cost-effective unmanaged switches ensuring high EMC compatibility, extended temperature ranges, and numerous certifications for a wide range of industrial applications.   

This new solution from Weidmuller supports Profinet CC-A and Ethernet/IP networks with features including Quality of Service (QoS), broadcast storm protection, and LLDP filtering. Designed for maximum efficiency, this new line of unmanaged switches is easy to install with tool-free, snap-in mounting and PUSH IN wiring.

“Our Basic Line Series B product family optimizes supply chains by reducing storage costs and increasing network availability,” said Ken Crawford, Senior Director of Automation at Weidmuller USA. “Now, one line of unmanaged switches can meet all of a company’s network requirements.”

Highlights of the Basic Line Series B include:

·     Tool-free installation with an optimized DIN rail clip with locking foot and a PUSH IN terminal for power

·      5 to 24 ports with fast Ethernet and Gigabit and SFP interfaces for fiber optics

·      Extensive approvals: CE, UKCA, cULus, C1D2, KCC, BSMI, IECEx, ATEX and more

·      DIP Switches feature QoS configuration, broadcast storm protection, MAC frame filtering (LLDP Frame Blocking), energy efficient Ethernet IEEE 802.3az

·      Environmentally-friendly with plastic-free packaging in recycled cardboard
