The ETHERNET 2.0 750-885 PLC features two redundant networks backed by dual, independent Ethernet interfaces and 1MB of data memory. SD Card provides up to 32GB of extra memory for back-up-and-restore, file transfer and time-stamping/data-logging.
Via SD Card, 750-885 can improve manufacturing, process and traffic engineering applications. For example, OEM efficiency can be improved by transferring program, bootfiles and device parameters from PLC to PLC. SD Card allows bluewater vessel operators to time-stamp navigation/propulsion changes and forward data to internal safety boards. Network redundancy can benefit building automation and facility management by supporting HVAC control and lighting systems.
Dual LAN, Dual Safety Net:
A dual LAN, 750-885’s two Ethernet ports permit operation over independent networks and paths, which are accessible via different IP addresses and MAC IDs. If Path 1 fails (e.g., broken cable), Path 2 resumes communication. This is critical — and often mandatory — in engine rooms or building security. If redundancy is not required, 750-885 separates data between different networks, e.g., between machine and office.
750-885 withstands constant vibration/shocks, EMC interference and high air humidity/temperatures. Up to 22.5% more compact than traditional solutions, it supports space-restricted shipboard and on/offshore applications. An Extended Temperature variant (-20°C to +60°C) is available for diverse machinery from icebreakers to desert refineries; all 750-885 models carry UL 508.
