PSEs are intended to replace manual changeover adjustment by OEM design or end user retrofit, and are said to be easier to maintain than a traditional servo system.
The PSEs reduce machine changeover downtime; allow production to support smaller batch sizes; avoid manufacturing errors due to inaccurate set up; and simplify mechanical mounting, electrical wiring, and system maintenance.
A broad range of communication protocals--EtherNet/IP. ProfiNet, EtherCat, Sercos lll, Modbus, DeviceNet, ProfiBus, etc.—are available. Stainless IP68, Jog Switch Interface, and Latch Brake are available as options.
The PSE mount is compatible with mechanical digital indicators.
