China Med 2011, the International Medical Instruments and Equipment Exhibition, takes place March 25 – 27 at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. The event will feature the latest medical equipment presented by more than 500 exhibitors. Exhibit categories will include medical diagnostics and imaging equipment, surgical instruments and medical software, as well as electro medical technology, hospital equipment and IT technology.
Visitors are expected from the hospital, clinic, emergency center, medical university, rehabilitation, and nursing center sector, as well as from the government, science and research institutes and will include retailers, distributors, wholesalers, importers, and exporters.
According to event organizers, the Chinese economy remains one of the fastest growing in the world and more Chinese citizens are able to pay for higher levels of quality medical services, driving the demand for health facilities with improved and modern equipment. China Med 2010 attracted 500 exhibitors from 20 countries, with 26,518 visitors.
The event will be jointly organized by Messe Düsseldorf China, the China World Trade Center Co. Ltd., the China Hui Tong Corp., and the Medical Department of the General Logistics Dept. of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.

Processing and packaging expo
As the accompanying show brochure illustrates, China’s processing and packaging technology trade show, ProPak China 2011, will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), Pudong July 13 –15. Event organizers say this year’s show, the 17th edition, will be larger than the record-breaking 2010 expo. More than 34,000 sq meters have been booked for this year’s event, which showcases processing and packaging solutions for all industries, including dairy, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food, snacks, confectionery, beer, beverages, and industrial sectors.
Brendan Jennings, general manager of China International Exhibitions, said, “ProPak China 2010 was the largest edition in ProPak’s history in China, with 530 participants from 19 countries and regions. Analysis of visitors after the show demonstrated that of the record 14,754 attendees from 77 countries, 53.91% came from industries seeking solid processing, packaging technology, while the balance came from liquid product manufacturers specifically beverage, fruit juice, carbonated drinks, beer and dairy producers in search of the latest technology.”
Demand for space at ProPak China 2011 and the focus of technology on display reflects the dynamics of the Chinese economy. “The rapid growth of the Chinese economy will no longer be sustained by exports. The domestic market of middle-income consumers is now the target for the fastest-growing sectors of the economy,” said People’s Daily 13th December 2010.

Distributed control systems and programmable logic controllers, as the traditional automation and control solutions, are pervading in the modern Chinese industries.”
