Saddle Creek Corp., a nationwide third-party provider of integrated logistics, warehousing, transportation, and contract packaging services, has acquired ProLog Logistics Inc. ProLog is a warehousing and fulfillment company based in San Diego.

The acquisition reflects Saddle Creek's strategic plans for growth and commitment to expanding the company's integrated logistics service offerings to better serve its customers.

"This acquisition will allow us to deepen our fulfillment capabilities, providing a broader range of services and greater value to our customers," says David Lyons, founder and chairman of Lakeland, FL-based Saddle Creek. "We continue to evolve and enhance our abilities to serve our customers, and we're confident that ProLog's expertise will strengthen our service offerings in this growing market segment."

In business since 1996, ProLog offers fulfillment, warehousing, e-commerce, call center, and customer care services from facilities in San Diego and Lexington, KY. The ProLog management team and current employees will remain in place and continue to operate as ProLog Logistics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Saddle Creek Corp.

"Retaining this effective team will provide continuity for existing customers and allow us to leverage their expertise throughout our operations," says Cliff Otto, Saddle Creek president. Even more important, their customer-driven corporate culture is closely aligned with our companywide commitment to service excellence."

This is Saddle Creek's second acquisition during the past 13 months. It follows the November 2009 acquisition of ServiceCraft Logistics, a third-party logistics company based in Buena Park, CA.

"This deal reflects our continued commitment to strategic growth," Otto adds. "We'll continually work to ensure that we offer the right mix of logistics solutions to optimize supply chain performance for our customers."
