Packaging Europe’s Sustainable Packaging Summit Returns for 2023

Packaging Europe’s Sustainable Packaging Summit is taking place on 14-15 November this year, bringing together leaders and pioneers from across the industry to align strategically, learn, network, and create a critical mass to accelerate change.

At the iconic Beurs van Berlage in central Amsterdam, the Sustainable Packaging Summit (which is co-located with the packaging Sustainability Awards and the smart packaging AIPIA World Congress) will set the agenda to ensure packaging meets its urgent obligations – and realizes its future opportunities.

Focusing on strategic alignment and the opportunities on the innovation horizon, this year’s event will feature multiple streams, including high-level panels, superstar keynotes, interactive break-outs and start-up pitches.

Attendees of the Sustainable Packaging Summit will get to hear from a variety of thought leaders and leading experts from across the value chain – including key brand owners (Nestlé, Amazon, PepsiCo, P&G), the largest multinational packaging companies (Avery Dennison, Stora Enso), NGOs (Ellen MacArthur Foundation, WWF), industry associations (Europen, FEVE, Petcore, 4evergreen), and plenty more.

Running in parallel, the AIPIA World Congress is the only smart packaging event covering the entire technology spectrum, for both active and intelligent applications.

It’s the meeting place for the global smart packaging industry, where brand owners and other stakeholders can network, inspect latest innovations, discuss the trends, and plug in to thought leaders around active/intelligent packaging and food waste, circular economy, supply chain efficiency, and marketing.

Bridging these programs and audiences is the networking and awards dinner on the evening of 14 November. A time for meet-ups, relaxed conversations and chance encounters over fine dining, including the culmination of the Sustainability Awards – as we learn the winners of the “Nobel Prize” for sustainable packaging innovation.

“The interconnected events we’re hosting are united by a mission to equip the world of packaging to ensure it is fit for purpose in the near and medium-term future: both to meet the environment’s and society’s demands and to grasp the strategic and technological opportunities,” comments Packaging Europe brand director, Tim Sykes.

“The Summit is fuelled by this sense of mission of driving positive impact: so every session is designed to answer (or at least reveal) important questions, and we’re challenging every panellist – and every delegate – to focus not on what’s already achieved, but what we need to do next, and how we can collaborate to get there faster.”
