PAC and SPC sign partnership agreement

Packaging Association of Canada and the Sustainable Packaging Coalition have signed a partnership agreement.

Jim Downham, CEO of PAC says, "the green movement has reached a fevered pitch in Canada and is dominating the political landscape. PAC has endorsed the SPC vision and approach as a process by which the Canadian packaging community can contribute to the green movement."


As an initial collaboration, SPC and PAC will develop a sustainable packaging curriculum. This will be a program of study created for the packaging community and professionals.

 

Anne Johnson, director of SPC says, "since 2003, our mandate has been to help the packaging community achieve sustainable packaging systems that are economically robust and provide benefit throughout the life cycle of a package. PAC is a recognized educational authority in the packaging industry and has the talent to quickly create and deliver a quality product."
