Aetna Group is flying to Chicago for PACK EXPO International 2024, which will be held November 3-6 at McCormick Place, North America's largest convention center.

Organized by the PMMI (Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies), the event will bring together professionals from all over the world. Over 45,000 participants and 2,500 exhibiting companies with packaging and converting solutions for 40 vertical sectors.

With a packed program of seminars and lectures, live demonstrations and networking opportunities, PACK EXPO Chicago is an unmissable opportunity for packaging and wrapping professionals worldwide, who are keen to discover the latest innovations, connect with industry leaders and forge valuable relationships.

Once again this year, Aetna Group—in partnership with its subsidiary Aetna Group USA—is showcasing a wide range of state-of-the-art technologies that represent excellence in end-of-line automation. Case packers, palletizers, wrapping machines and laser-guided vehicles will be the focus of a 418 square meter stand (North Hall, Booth N-4729), with a common goal: automating and optimizing the end-of-line process with smart, state-of-the-art technology.

The solutions on display will all be in operation, to provide hands-on demonstrations of their characteristics and performance features led by specialized personnel. On the Aetna Group stand, 12 end-of-line automation solutions representing all the brands in the Group's portfolio will be on display.

We start with Robopac's technologies and then the ubiquitous Robot S7, the self-propelled packaging solution designed to wrap and stabilize palletized loads of any shape, size and weight with maximum flexibility.

In keeping with the trend for paper, we present the Technoplat PW, a rotary table machine that uses paper instead of plastic film as its wrapping material, and is environmentally friendly and sustainable.

The same applies to ReCYCLE, a solution for compacting and reducing the volume of packaging waste materials, indispensable for those seeking sustainable solutions.

In contrast, the Masterwrap HD XL is a semi-automatic rotary arm wrapping machine for stabilizing unstable and heavy loads.

Next up is the Orbit R5, a rotating ring technology for spiral wrapping with stretch film, easily integrated into high-speed lines.

Meanwhile, the Helix 3 EVO ranks among the automatic rotary arm wrapping machines on offer for palletized loads, particularly suitable for use in industries with high production rates and for light, easily deformed and unstable products.

We then move on to the Meypack FW 200, the flagship horizontal stretch film wrapping machine of the German company acquired by the Aetna Group in 2022, ideal for the food industry and for frozen or chilled products in folding cases or cartons.

The Prasmatic TC 500 Combi is a combined shrinkwrapper and case packer for medium and high speed production. The brand is known for its solutions in the food sector and achieves 55 to 65 packs per minute.

From Sotemapack we have the WA 20: a compact wrap-around packer for flexible packaging with speeds of up to 20 strokes/minute, with intermittent operation, it is available in several configurations, including a combination version (tray+film or tray+cover).

Whereas OCME offers the Auriga ATL, the series of laser-guided counterbalanced vehicles capable of handling any type of product. They are designed to offer maximum versatility, they are the ideal technology for both factory operations and direct truck loading.

Directly from U.S. production, TopTier's LT Automatic Stretch Wrapper is on display, the rotary table wrapping machine that, with its 40 pallets/hour, represents high entry level equipment, guaranteeing high performance in terms of speed, reduced footprint, lower film consumption and greater safety for operators.

Same brand for the cell composed of the robotic depalletizer and the conventional L20 palletizer.

Aetna Group's participation at PACK EXPO represents further strengthening of its presence in the American market, which has been consolidated by its subsidiary Aetna Group USA. Presenting state-of-the-art technological solutions, the company focuses on automation and optimization of end-of-line processes, offering the industry a complete range of tools and assistance for every phase of the project.
