Saddle Creek Logistics adds a new facility in Birmingham, AL

Third-party logistics company to relocate wine-distributing customer's operations to a new facility of its own.

Saddle Creek Logistics Services, Lakeland, FL, is expanding its nationwide network with a new facility in Birmingham, AL, the company announced today. The new space is dedicated to helping an existing customer, a wine logistics company, better control its transportation costs. The new facility will allow the customer to move its operations from Atlanta to the new Birmingham, AL. Operations will be housed in a 225,000-square-foot facility with food-grade, climate-controlled space and rail service. The distribution center will be fully operational by Feb. 1. "By relocating their distribution center, we can help them to better control inbound freight costs,” Tom Patterson, Saddle Creek senior vice president of warehouse operations, said.
