This allows the carton to be opened without the use of knives or scissors. The Zipper also acts as a TE mechanism as the tag will be missing if the case has been opened and retaped. Logos, bar codes and color coding are available. The Zipper unit can be supplied with a new carton sealer by Soco or it can be incorporated into existing Soco carton sealers.
Easy-opening tape
The Zipper, made by Soco System (Waukesha, WI), is a small triangular piece of paper applied by a special unit on a carton sealer to the trailing end of the tape.
