MAP Systems, a div. of ClearLam Packaging: No-vacuum MAP system

MAP Systems (Des Plaines, IL) introduces a modified atmosphere “interface” system that uses a patented Dual Laminar Flow™ and Gas Laser™ technology, rather than vacuum, to remove oxygen and replace it with another gas, usually nitrogen.

Uses stainless-steel rails and screens to direct gas flow in different directions and velocities. For use with oxygen-sensitive medical, pharmaceutical or food products, the system mounts to equipment such as tray sealers, vertical and horizontal f/f/s machines and blister and vial packing equipment.
