Ink-jet printheads are mounted to a modular conveyor with a special "floating mount" that allows the printhead to adjust for variations in box shape and size. An alarm and reject station with dual scanners is mounted on each side of the conveyer to alert operators if bar codes are unreadable or if the bar-code rate drops.
