Nonfoil lidding

A new high-barrier, nonfoil, flexible lidding structure from American Packaging (Rochester, NY) permits on-line metal detection of food products.

It consists of a proprietary coated paper laminated to oriented PP, with a coating of extruded hot melt for a strong seal that still permits easy removal by consumers. Provides the same moisture, oxygen and light barriers as a foil lamination.
