Thermo Fisher Scientific: Sensor for beverage industry

Thermo Electron introduces its new CrystalVision™ CO2 sensor, designed to precisely measure CO2 concentrations in carbonated beverages such as beer, soda, and carbonated water.

Pw 9302 Thermo 2006 Crystalvision
Until now, the beverage industry has relied on temperature-pressure methods for CO2 concentration measurement. Sensor uses infrared energy and attenuated total reflectance. This application of new technology ensures accurate, real-time measurement. Sensor operates 24/7 and can withstand CIP cycles, providing continunous data that can be used to increase throughput. Sensor monitors the CIP cycle, resulting in increased profits through natural resource savings and reduced waste. They monitor only "True CO2," and are not affected by pressure spikes or extraneous gases, such as dissolved oxygen or nitrogen.
