With its dual package sealing capability the AERGO 8 Duo offers unrivaled versatility to packagers according to Director of Marketing Ken Sullivan.

"The AERGO Duo name derives both from the ergonomic features we have put into the machine " Sullivan said "and its ability to seal the two most common types of thermoformed package".

While all models in the new AERGO machine series will offer the ergonomic enhancements the AERGO 8 Duo the first model introduced will offer an automated means of sealing plastic-to-plastic clamshells while still providing blister-to-card sealing with just a simple tooling change Sullivan said.

"The AERGO 8 Duo provides a capability many packagers have been seeking in an automated machine by sealing the two-piece plastic packages frequently used for electronics autoaftermarket products cosmetics and many types of security packaging " Sullivan said "Previously ultrasonic or radio frequency (RF) sealing had to be done by non-automated machines to seal plastic-to-plastic packaging."

The ergonomic features are part of the first redesign of the industry's common rotary machines in more than 40 years according to Sullivan.

Those features are centered in four major areas: ergonomic enhancements for operator comfort easy-to-use operator controls high package output and sealing flexibility.

They include:

* Ergonomic Enhancements for operator comfort: Overhead task lighting turntable optimized for operator height foot rest and floor mat outside reloading of blisters and cards

* Optimized Operator Controls: High definition operator touchscreen interface English/Spanish setup prompts auto start and auto purge function recipe storage and fault messages

* High volume Package Output: Large 12" by 18.5" seal area 'Quick Change' tooling variable speed drive

* Material Flexibility: Capability to seal both plastic-to-plastic and blister-to-card packages

The end result is a machine that is more comfortable for operators and more productive for owners.
