NEWS FROM PACK EXPO: The Hartness (Greenville, SC) Hero System offers hands-off monitoring of a production line. Small cameras are placed on the production line in critical areas.

System captures and stores a record of production faults to show when and how a failure has occurred. At PackExpo, the system included four camera inputs, Windows 2000, 120-GB hard drive, and touchscreen monitor. It is said to reduce downtime and improve processes by quickly identifying trouble spots.
