ELAU's latest delta 3 robot design, the Robot P3+, features an increased payload capacity and work envelope, Intelligent Servo Modules and new software integration with Cognex® vision systems.

Robot mechanics complement ELAU's robotic software library, giving packaging machine OEMs the ability to design elegant, highly synchronized robotic capabilities into their machines -- instead of adding on third party robots and controllers.

ELAU makes it simple for OEMs to 'take on' robotics

Robotics in packaging is less about repetitive tasks and more about controlling space and controlling product. A robot is a simple way to accomplish these complex and dynamic tasks. ELAU's robot mechanics make it easier for an OEM to deploy.

ELAU's robot arms are built with the packaging industry in mind. Their delta robot features a bigger work envelope and can withstand more g-forces than general purpose robots to achieve the fastest possible production rates.

Instead of a top speed, ELAU designers built the robot to move as fast as possible while limiting g-forces to the maximum that the product and gripper system can handle. ELAU's P3+ arm itself can withstand up to 12 g forces.

Combined with ELAU's iSH Series Intelligent Servo Modules, robotic solutions become highly modular. The OEM can build a frame, hang the robots, and plug the robots into the iSH system using distribution boxes and a unified cabling system. The ELAU controller and common power supply can then handle as many as 8 plug-and-play robot arms with no expansion of the electrical cabinet.

The result is an off-the-shelf solution that makes it simple for packaging machinery OEMs to 'take on' robotics.
