Kerr Group Inc: Child-resistant package

The Pharmaceutical Div. of Kerr Group (Lancaster, PA) has introduced Tab II, a child-resistant package that includes a 1-piece injection-molded PP cap and a 1-piece injection/stretch blow-molded PP bottle.

Users open the cap by pressing on 2 flexing tabs and twisting. The double-lead thread design allows for easy removal and re-application in 180° rotation. An audible click occurs when the CR feature is engaged. The package was tested in a 28-mm size and will be commercially available in the first quarter of this year.
