Nulogy adds supply chain expert to board

Art Mesher, chairman and CEO of Descartes Systems, will help enhance corporate governance, global growth and customer service.

Nulogy, the Toronto-based developer of software for contract packaging and supply chain operations, today announced the addition of Art Mesher, to its board of directors.

Mesher is "one of the foremost leaders in supply chain technology,” Jason Tham, Nulogy’s CEO, said in an announcement, adding that his participation will help enhance corporate governance, global growth and customer service.

Mesher is currently chairman and CEO of Descartes Systems (NASDAQ: DSGX), whose pioneering on-demand logistics network serves truck, air, and ocean transportation. He is also chairman of the Core Group a developer of Core Recreational Complex and Elite Athlete Performance Centre in Kitchener, Waterloo, Ontario. His experience spans experience since the 1980s as a developer of technology to automate freight processes for Vocam Systems, which was later sold to Pitney Bowes. Subsequently, he was President of Advanced Logistics Research, where he helped companies develop and deploy emerging technology-based supply chain strategies; and launched the Integrated Logistics Strategies Services practice at technology research and consulting firm Gartner Inc. Additionally, he was selected as the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals' (CSCMP) 2008 Distinguished Service Award recipient.
