This replaces a more traditional system where containers come in contact with open adhesive wheels to receive adhesive. Because adhesive is delivered directly from the hot melt applicator to the guns in a closed system, adhesive is not exposed to ambient air until it’s sprayed onto a container sidewall. This minimizes adhesive degradation and charring as well as the need to change adhesive and clean encrusted roller surfaces, wheels, doctor blades, and scrapers. Controlled Fiberization glue guns apply spiral-shaped dots or swirls of adhesive.
