New kids' Tylenol label

In line with recommendations from FDA's over-the-counter drug advisory committee, labels of Tylenol will begin warning parents of the danger to children from overdosages.

Labels will caution that the contents are concentrated acetaminophen and that taking more than the recommended dosage could cause serious health risks. The FDA panel called for manufacturers to explain correct dosages for children under two. In mid-October, a spokesman for McNeil Consumer Products Co. said packages of infant Tylenol with the new labeling should reach stores in "six to seven weeks."
