Hybrid paper-packaging system produces void-fill and cushioning materials with one machine

New machine produces variable-density paper pads with the flip of a switch, for void-fill or cushioning needs.

In this on-site Pack Expo Las Vegas 2009 video, Atul Arora, Sealed Air Corp.'s business manager for paper products, demonstrates the versatility of the company's new PackTiger® Hybrid™ system. The machine produces paper pads from 17x20-in. sheets of 100% recycled paper that can be used either as void fill or as cushioning, depending upon the pad length and density. According to Arora, compared with the output of other systems on the market, the pads produced by the PackTiger Hybrid provide superior protection and require less involvement from the operator.
