Jacob began her career in the 1950s at her grandfather’s company, M. Jacob & Sons (now MJS Packaging), and led efforts into the emerging plastics packaging market.  A pioneer in the packaging industry, Elaine became the first female NACD president in 1977, and quickly brought more structure to the organization.

Elaine Jacob At 1950s Trade Show“This is an incredible honor for both MJS Packaging and the Jacob family,” said Matt McDonnell, Board Member and Director of New Business Development for MJS Packaging. “Through conversations with industry insiders and from the close relationship I shared with my Great-Aunt Elaine, it is apparent she was instrumental in shaping the legacy within our 132 year old company and the industry at large. We are thrilled the NACD selected Elaine to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.”

“What a well-deserved honor,” added Deborah Jacob, Chair of the Board for MJS Packaging.  “Elaine was a mentor to me, and she deeply instilled in me the belief that if I strove for success, anything was achievable.”
