Ideal for confectionery applications, the GEA SmartPacker TwinTube high-speed vf/f/s packing system (shown) features a production output of up to 500 bags/min and a new re-enforced modular design.
Its design operates two parallel forming tubes from a single drive and runs up to four times the speed of conventional baggers. It is also possible to run a film reel for each drive, meaning packs of different widths and/or designs can be simultaneously filled.
GEA will also exhibit the GEA SmartPacker CX400 D-Zip machine. It produces premium quality Doy style bags with zippers (D-Zips) with wrinkle-free, air-tight and sharp cross seals. With one machine, common bag types filled with candy, cookies, dried fruit, snacks, and more can be produced.
