Omron Electronics LLC launched OASIS (Omron Authorized Systems Integrator Solution), a service that introduces those with automation projects to Omron-certified systems partners that can design and deliver an automation system using Omron controls.

Ruco Inks, Eppstein, Germany, opened a new UV ink plant, Ruco USA, in Wood Dale, IL.

Schneider Electric obtained certification in the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program.

Sato announced that its print engines now support the Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMB), while its printers and print engines (excluding the CX Series printers) support the GSI Composite Symbology-GSI DataBar.

Alliedflex Technologies, Inc. added SJ Pack of Korea, a machinery manufacturer specializing in compact rotary pouch fill/seal packaging machinery, to its sales and marketing program.

Rovema Global Packaging Group, LLC acquired Barcelona, Spain-based Bossar S.L. The purchase includes all of Bossar’s assets and subsidiaries, its line of proprietary packaging technology, and its Barcelona manufacturing site.

Thiele Technologies, Inc. acquired Hudson-Sharp Machinery Co. of Green Bay, WI, and Brussels, Belgium.

Luis Alvarado was appointed manager of customer service and technical support for Better Packages, Inc.

Mary Czarnopys was named Midwest sales representative for Cortegra.

Matthew Job joined KUKA Robotics Corp. as director of distribution and product management.

Rexam appointed Rich Grimley chief operating officer for Rexam Beverage Can Americas (North and South America), and Kip Nickel vice president, sales and marketing, North American beverage can business.

Eriez announced a partnership with Richard Parmee, a physicist with expertise on low energy x-ray technology, to help bring state-of-the-art cabinet x-ray machines to the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Ball Corp. named Gary Woeste vice president, sales and marketing for the metal food and household products packaging division, Americas, and Michael Hranicka executive vice president and chief operating officer for North American metal beverage packaging operations.
