org. The Institute of Packaging Professionals has Web-enabled its Directory of Packaging Consultants, permitting users to search nearly 100 consultants not only by region, but by industry (beverage, chemical, etc.), package format (bags, blisters, cans, etc.), process (aseptic, blow molding, clean room packaging, etc.) and service (computer-aided graphics, display packaging design, etc.). A PDF version of the directory can also be downloaded from the site at no charge. It can also be purchased in the traditional book format at the IoPP bookstore for $25.

Hedwin Corp. (Baltimore, MD) has launched an e-commerce site specifically for its pail and drum liners at www.mroliners.com. Visitors can purchase the company’s standard range of liners with a credit card, or they can use the site to buy through a local distributor.

Triangle Package Machinery Co. (Chicago, IL) has re-designed its Web site at www.

trianglepackage.com with easy-to-use drop-down menus. Users can go directly to the desired Web page by choosing a pull-down menu for machine type (vf/f/s baggers, pouchers, scales, cartoners, etc.) or by application (poultry, candy, cereal, pasta, etc.). Vistors can also request an “e-quote” by filling out a form with information such as maximum piece size, weights/counts, bag sizes, film types, carton sizes, speeds, etc.
