Designed with both retailers and processors in mind the "mini-container" is a tray comprising the food-safe Fresh-R-Pax absorbent technology which improves the quality and extends the shelf life for fresh cut fruits. Extended shelf life results in better tasting products, higher sales, less wastage, longer production runs and extended distribution area.

Fresh-R-Pax works by absorbing the excess juice/liquid fresh cut fruit releases and gives processors the ability to pack the ripest and sweet tasting fruit.

The new Fresh-R-Pax 70g and 110g “mini-containers” are ideal for processor target markets such as; kid’s snacks, school lunches and retail/convenience stores. The new packs are easy to open, tamper evident, and are ideal for packing fresh-cut pineapple and melon.

“Customers have been asking us to develop single-serve packaging which incorporates the extended shelf life our technology offers fresh cut fruits. At the same time they’ve asked us to keep the solution cost effective and by sealing a Fresh-R-Pax pad into the base of a square tray/punnet we’re happy the new “mini-containers” tick all three boxes” said Matthew Valentine, Managing Director, Baltimore Innovations.
