Bottles preserve taste sensation

One of Poland’s largest apple juice producers, SOGO has selected a barrier bottle for its not-from-concentrate drinks.

The 250-mL blow molded polypropylene bottle from RPC Promens Consumer Corby incorporates a layer of EVOH that, as well as extending the ambient shelf life of the hot-filled drinks, also helps to preserve the flavors and aromas. In addition, the lightweight and unbreakable nature of the bottle has enabled the company to develop online sales.

SOGO believes its unique juices, incorporating fruit from its carefully tended orchards, creates a full taste sensation that requires special packaging.

“The fullness of the flavour emphasizes the quality of our juice, so it is essential that this is maintained throughout the life of the product,” explains Marek Gogola, head of marketing and sales. “We are delighted with the performance of the RPC bottle, which is playing a key role in reflecting the premium image of our brand.”

SOGO has already enjoyed strong sales growth and is now seeking to develop its export business further, outside of the European Union.
