Plastic jar holds woodwork treatment

Alfred Clouth Lackfabrik in Germany has switched one of its leading brands from tin to rigid plastics with the introduction of a new plastic jar for a specialized woodwork treatment product.

Injection-moled PP jar replaces tin.

Manufactured by RPC Bramlage-Wiko, the new jar for Clou Holzpaste has been designed to match the tin that it replaced with two sizes of 150 and 250 g. It is injection moulded in polypropylene to extremely tight tolerances to ensure a leak free container that provides maximum protection of the product.

The jar is produced in an eye-catching yellow pigment with contrasting blue lid to create on-shelf impact. Branding and product information is silkscreen printed in three colours onto the container.

The pack is lightweight and robust, and will not dent or rust, while a wide easy open and close lid offers ease of access and use for the end consumer.

Clou products have a reputation for high quality in both the professional and DIY markets, and it was essential that the new jar reflected this premium image, as Alfred Clouth, managing director of Alfred Clouth Lackfabrik explains:

“We were looking for an alternative pack that was in keeping with our brand and, equally important, one that could run on our existing filling lines. RPC Bramlage-Wiko has exactly met our brief with an attractive and practical jar.”
