HexaLite 26 weighs in at 1.1 g or less on new neck finish (at 2.2 g or less), replacing the current 26.7-mm standard used in North America and some European countries, and generating a total weight savings of at least 1.7 g. HexaLite 29/25 weighs 1.4 g or less on new neck finish 29/25 (at 2.4 g or less), replacing the 30/25 world standard for still water and generating a total weight savings of 2.0 g. This type of per-bottle savings is said to generate almost 2,000 tons of resin savings for each 1 billion bottles produced, for an estimated reduction of 15,000 tons of greenhouse gas emission. Closures offer features such as olive seal, TE bands, resistance to stress cracking, and ease of opening/resealing.
