Wine in a tiny juice box

The 180-mL carton comes with an attached straw.

Pw 44179 4 Tiny Wine Carton

Wine connoisseurs may blanch at this product, but the compact carton of wine fits in as a handy on-the-go option and impulse purchase. Wine in a 250-mL juice-box size is not unusual, but this atypical 180-mL carton from Japan’s Rakuen winery is even smaller than the “airline” size of 187 mL that’s usually filled in PET bottles. Pricing at a Circle K C-store in Nagoya, Japan, was at an even 100¥/USD $1.28 for either 12% alcohol-content red or white wine. The peel-off tab opening accommodates sipping direct or via the attached straw.

(As a side note, Tetra Brik Aseptic is offered in sizes to 80 mL…now that would be a sip-sized portion!)
