PBM Plastics has developed Ultraware™, an ultra-thin, ultra-heat-resistant thermoformed plastic suitable for a wide range of applications in food, medical, and laboratory packaging.

Ultraware incorporates the co.’s Melt-Phase™ forming process, which is said to combine the key advantages of thermoforming and blow molding. As a result, the plastic is suitable for applications and unique shapes traditionally addressed via glass, metal, and thermoset resins. Features include high heat and chemical resistance, flame retardance, good dimensional stability and transparency, and compliance with FDA regulations.
