Flow wrapping system features major breakthrough in controls integration

The Delta Systems Raptor robotic flow wrapping system operates via a common control platform for both the robot and multi-pack flow wrapper. With the system, products are rotated 90 degrees via a series of indexing belts and delivered to a collation device. A four-axis robot picks each collation from the belt and places it into the infeed of the IP65-rated wrapper, which includes a multi-axis, servo-drive platform and plate-frame construction. Capable of infeed cycle speeds over 500 pieces per min, the system is available with optional augmented reality capabilities to assist with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
