AROL FT performs critical bottling inspection tasks

Arol's FT System provides complete solutions for bottling line inspection and control systems.

Part of the Arol Group, FT System demonstrated its broad range of technologies for critical bottling line inspection and control tasks. These include empty container detection, fill level inspection and monitoring, weight checking, quality control, and inspection of caps, leakage/pressure, labels and kegs. All tasks are performed from large, easy to read color touchscreen panels from B&R Industrial Automation.

The systems are suitable for use on virtually any liquid packaging line, including water, soft drink, wine, spirits, beer, milk, juice, detergents and oil. A joint technology development with global capping leader Arol has resulted in the introduction of the QCS120, a patented system for checking removal torque, weight and internal pressure of various container types. The QT700 is a new cap inspection system installed upstream of the capper to reduce scrap and downtime caused by deformed caps.

Label inspection systems perform label presence detection and both total and rejected bottle counts with simple size changeover adjustment. For use with glass, PET, HDPE and aluminum containers, the model IE720-A operates at up to 90,000 bph.

Cap inspection systems operate at the same speeds, providing cap presence, correct insertion and planarity detection and security ring integrity.
