Label Printers: Label Printers: No-impact conveyor

Delivering speed control, accumulation and minimal impact, the Gravitrol conveyor from Mathews (Danville, KY) transports cases, drums and pallets through a combination of gravity and air valve-controlled brakes.

The roller belts are divided into zones, each with a sensor roller to determine velocity of passing product. When a product stops or slows, the sensor in that zone sends a pulse to subsequent zones so brakes are applied, preventing following products from bumping the stopped article. When the resting product restarts or is removed, the following zones' brakes are deactivated. Because products are moved by their own weight on the pitched belt, the conveyor requires no electricity.
