Garvey was voted in by the membership at an annual meeting in New Orleans on November 10th, 2009. The appointment is for four years and he keeps up a tradition of previous Garvey leaders to sit on PMMI's board (Thomas Garvey 1976-1980 and Mark Garvey 1991-1995, 2001-2004).
"I'm looking forward to contributing to a great organization like
PMMI," says Ben Garvey, "and look forward to working with and learning
from other PMMI members." At 31, Ben is also the youngest board member
in the organization's 76-year history.
