What quantity of finished goods can be shipped with the least scrap and re-work? * How well does the line utilize the equipment, and how flexible is the line? * How proficient are the operators and mechanics, and how should they be managed or trained? * How high a level of average output can be sustained given all of the above? SCADA systems also can address the following areas: * Tightening of quality level of input materials acceptable from suppliers to work better on automated equipment. * Changes of procedures for operators and maintenance personnel. * Capital changes to the packaging process to modify or replace faulty equipment or sections of equipment. * Modifying packaging line designs to include or remove buffers, control systems, conveyors and/or additional equipment.
