Sidel’s Predis technology works by decontaminating the preforms, rather than the PET bottles themselves, by spraying hydrogen peroxide (H202) vapor, which is then activated by the heat of the blow-molding process.

Sidel claims the dairy’s new line is the first in the world to employ their dry decontamination system for sensitive beverages with neutral pH value, making it possible to increase product quality and shelf life, and to ensure total food safety--a challenge because milk is so easily spoiled by light, air and microbes.
