Modified Atmosphere Packaging Technology is the way to go for Bulk Packaging (FIBC, Big Bags, Super Sacks, and Tote Bins). This type of packaging technology is growing each year to strengthen the supply chain, by protecting and improving product quality and safety, extend product shelf-life, reduce storage and transportation costs of the packaged material, keeping organic products organic, and reducing overall waste of product.
FIBC MODIFIED ATMOSPHERE PACKAGING
Many types of Food, Dairy, Pharmaceutical, Chemical and many other products have very short shelf lives or are easily ruined or spoiled when they come into contact with oxygen and moisture. M-A-P FIBC Big Bags & Bin Liners utilize a liner that keeps your product safe from oxygen, moisture and insect/pest contamination, without the use of chemicals or gases.
The Modified Atmosphere technique does not use chemicals or pesticides whatsoever. A modified atmosphere is created by adjusting oxygen levels to <1% and then gas flushing with either N2 or CO2 within the packaging to the desired value. Nothing is added to the product, keeping it safe and fresh.
With MAP technology from Masterpack Group USA, it's also very easy to conduct nonintrusive manual or automatic sampling and data collection of the atmosphere inside of the material packaged inside of the MAP-FIBC, giving fully documented chain of custody data.
FIBC Modified Atmosphere Technology benefits:
- Longer shelf-life storage of products.
- No longer need to use chemicals or toxic gases for fumigation and overall insect and pest control.
- Better overall product quality & safety is achieved.
- Eliminate the need for cold storage of your product.
- Use for short- or long-term storage to extend your production/processing schedule.
- Improve the supply chain to your customers.
