Legislative changes and customer demand are major drivers in the push for sustainable change, but many companies are also looking inside to make climate-friendly improvements, according to PMMI Business Intelligence’s 2024 State of the Industry report.

These pledges often focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions across the company’s entire value chain, including processing operations, materials used in packaging, and even carbon emissions of packaging machinery suppliers.
