Packaging science undergrads are helped

Three different universities can now offer students scholarships in Packaging Science, funded by the Petroleum Packaging Council (Chicago, IL). Clemson, Michigan State and California Polytechnic State has each been awarded $2ꯠ for 1998 for scholarships to be awarded to students who demonstrate financial need.

PPC announced the scholarships at its meeting of the Board of Directors in late March in Rancho Mirage, CA, during the Spring meeting. Scholarships are determined by the school's committees, and successful candidates are required to achieve an overall GPA of 3.0. The Council comprises more than 400 packaging professionals who are dedicated to providing technical and educational leadership in the design and production of environmentally-safe packaging of petroleum products.
