Drake wins Children's Art Project contract

The Drake Company, Houston, TX, has been awarded a three-year contract by the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Children’s Art Project (CAP) to produce its greeting card and gift displays, which will house products inspired by the hospital’s pediatric cancer patients network.

More than $27 million has been raised through this artistic program in the fight against cancer. Now in its 37th year, CAP has become one of Houston’s most recognized causes.

“This is the first time in over a decade that this account has been awarded to a different vendor, and we’re honored to be chosen for this worthwhile initiative,” says David Gaidousek, president of The Drake Company. “Ultimately, CAP is about making life better for kids with cancer, and our part is to help the program sell more cards and raise more money to make that happen.”

The contract includes the annual production of about 3,500 corrugated product displays. Drake’s advanced internal capabilities and 40 years of experience in integrated retail services will enable it to fulfill the order completely in-house. The displays will be in more than 2,000 retail locations along the Gulf Coast.
