The newly combined business, now called Markem.Imaje, becomes the world’s largest product identification solutions provider. The business will be uniquely positioned to provide a comprehensive range of marking and coding solutions for packaging industry customers around the world.
“For many reasons, this integration makes sense not only for Markem and Imaje, but for customers as well”, states Omar Kerbage, President of Dover’s Product Identification Group. “Markem and Imaje had always maintained a cordial competitive relationship that grew closer in 2006 when Markem joined Dover, Imaje’s corporate parent since 1995. Starting last December, the senior management teams of Markem and Imaje have been discussing opportunities for cooperation between the two companies. The conclusion was to form one business in order to increase the value provided to both our customers and shareholders.”
Said Serge Kral, newly appointed President of Markem.Imaje, “Customers in the packaging industry are increasingly looking for partners who can deliver a complete, global solution at the best cost of ownership. Markem.Imaje is now better positioned than any other supplier to meet these customer needs.”
The combination will create significant benefits for the customers and partners of both companies, including:
*Product Breadth - A broad range of leading product identification hardware and software solutions from a single vendor;
*Technology Leadership - Leading-edge technology combined;
*Global Reach - Worldwide sales, service, and channel partner organizations supporting small, medium, and large customers.
As a result of this integration, the new Markem.Imaje business has defined new common goals. According to the new company’s vision and mission statement, Markem.Imaje will strive to 'become our customers’ most trusted business partner in the product identification market in every corner of the world'.
