No saccharin warnings for alcoholic beverages

The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau has finally gotten around to amending its regulations to eliminate the requirement for a warning on labels of wine, distilled spirits, and malt beverages containing saccharin.

The original requirements for saccharin warning labels on all food and beverages date back to 1977. The Department of Health and Human Services delisted the sweetener from its National Toxicology Program in 2000, and Congress repealed the saccharin warning requirements in 2001.
