Topped off by lady luck

There is a saying that you make your own luck, but sometimes it just happens, as this example shows from Tom O’Brien, purchasing manager, White Rocket Wine Co., Napa, CA:

Over the course of almost 20 years in wine packaging, I have experienced many eureka moments. The most recent was the repackaging of one of our brands, Tin Roof. The redesign including changing from a 30 x 60-mm screw cap to a traditional capsule finish using a polylaminate material.

I have a lot of experience with this material, and it’s very common to experience horizontal circles on the spun capsule, which is caused by the spinner rollers. Certain metallic colors show this very noticeably.
