My name is Peter Fox. I'm the CEO of SOMIC Packaging. I'm here with the 434 at PACK EXPO Las Vegas.
This is our next generation machine. This machine, as you can see, is running stand up pouches. And what we're doing is we're using our traditional Lamella Chain to push the product over onto the moving transfer table, onto a corrugated blank. We're closing the case, discharging the case.
This machine, being the next generation, is an all stainless frame. It's a modular frame. We've increased the overall door size so that you have much better access when you're doing the changeover.
The changeover is also automated in that any of the adjustment points where previously we had a crank on them or a slide. Those are all done through stepper motors. So it's an automatic change.
This machine is typically going to be running anything from a flexible film, pillow packs, stand-up pouches, flow packs. We can also run cartons on it, bottles, rigid containers, thermoform packages. So it's quite versatile.
