Mettler-Toledo: Full-bottle inspection system

Mettler-Toledo CI-Vision’s full-bottle inspection (FBI) system inspects filled bottles at high production line speeds for proper fill level, cap position (missing, incorrect, skewed, and under- or over-torqued cap), and tamper-band integrity, automatically rejecting defective bottles.

The standardized design of the FBI system fits over an existing production line to integrate seamlessly into its layout. Cameras and lights adjust easily for different package sizes, and an optional automatic height adjustment makes changeovers easy. The system’s stainless steel frame stands up to washdowns.

The CI-Vision FBI system is simple to operate, enabling operators to set up inspections and perform automatic changeovers via a user-friendly touch-screen menu on the system’s HMI. CI-Vision installs the turnkey system, and provides startup run testing and operator training as part of the implementation. CI-Vision also provides technical assistance throughout the system’s life cycle through its extensive global network of service centers.
