Unit is said to reduce cost of ownership through its automatic, self-cleaning and self-maintenance system that continuously keeps print heads free of dust and debris, eliminating the need for manual cleaning. The self-maintenance system is noncontact, so it avoids damage that can occur during periodic maintenance. Printers recycle and reuse ink used during maintenance cycle and include an air-driven ink system that eliminates potential downtime due to maintenance on pumps, solenoids, and other moving parts.
