Delta’s cloud platform, DIACloud, is a secure technology that allows devices to talk to each-other as if they are in the same network. It allows each user to connect to their devices and see the status online, either through the web, desktop, or cell phone through Delta’s DIACloud phone app for iPhone and Android operating systems.
Delta has released two DIACloud enabling hardware products:
• DX-2100 3G GSM Cloud Router/Gateway
• DX-2300 Ethernet Cloud Router/Gateway
These DIACloud enabling products allow legacy devices to connect to a secure DIACloud tunnel. The built-in Modbus gateway, and standard Ethernet ports assures that even standard non-Delta devices can be monitored, configured, and updated remotely without a need to involve an IT department.
On the PC side, you can use the DIACom software to get your PC connected to the same network that these other devices are connected to, even if you’re halfway across the planet. The DX-2100 and DX-2300 also have built in features to make monitoring devices easy, such as SMS and email alarm capability.
Reliability, speed, and robustness are three things that are important for any device with remote connectivity. That’s why Delta has over fifteen servers across the globe, to ensure that there is always a nearby and secure server to connect to.
One of the main problems with storing cloud data is the amount of bandwidth that needs to fly through the connection. That’s why Delta’s proprietary DIACloud protocol supports report by exception messaging, to ensure that only necessary data is transmitted to the servers. Additionally, for when there is a spotty connection, Delta’s DIACloud solution supports store-and-forward technology to ensure that the data is complete and consistent.
There’s also a VPN enabling option for systems that would prefer a VPN based solution:
