The European Aluminium Foil Association represents more than 100 companies utilizing alufoil in their products, including rolling and rewinding, container manufacturing and other types of flexible packaging development. Its Alufoil Trophy Awards showcase excellence in products that either are made from alufoil or contain alufoil as part of a laminate or structure.
The Alufoil Trophy Awards’ five categories address nearly every market for packaging and other technical uses. Winners in each category are grouped rather than ranked; a total of 11 entries were recognized across these categories.
Judges also have discretion to extend an Alufoil Trophy to products displaying excellence across a number of categories, or for a particularly novel or clever application. Constantia Flexibles’ “Feinschmecker-pouch,” which was developed for German food and beverage brand Knorr, was honored with this award.
